More from our webinar speaker Dr Danielle Einstein

Dr Danielle Einstein has worked as a clinical psychologist treating anxiety for nearly three decades. Along the way, she developed a theory of uncertainty and collaborated with organisations and psychologists to disseminate it globally. She was the first Australian clinical psychologist to call for school phone bans, drawing on her research with schools. As an Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University, Dr Einstein focuses on how humans respond to anxiety, worry and uncertainty in the digital age.

In 2024, she played a prominent national role in educating the Australian public about the harms of social media. Her opinion was widely quoted in the media, she was an invited expert at numerous official events, and provided critical evidence to the Senate Inquiry. After legislation passed, she was formally acknowledged in Parliament for "living up to her name."

Her latest book, Raising Anxiety: Why Our Good Intentions Are Backfiring on Children and How to Fix It, co-authored with parenting expert Dr Judith Locke, builds on Jonathan Haidt’s work by setting out practical, everyday changes parents and educators can make to support healthier development.

In 2025, Dr Einstein has been at the forefront of international thought leadership, debunking myths and meeting with doctors, educators and government advisers in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. She also published The Einstein Report to provide up-to-date guidance for schools, policymakers and parents.
