More about our speaker Vanessa Mercuri

Vanessa is a Clinical Educator with the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia, and a registered Midwife at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. Vanessa previously worked as the Endometriosis Navigator at Thrive Endometriosis Clinic, one of Australia’s federally funded specialist clinics. Vanessa’s educational qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery and a master’s degree in Women’s and Children’s Health.

Her clinical experience, combined with her work in health education and advocacy, has given her a strong interest in pelvic pain, menstrual health and the experiences of people navigating these health conditions. She is particularly passionate about improving health literacy and ensuring people feel informed and empowered to advocate for their own health and translating evidence-based health information into accessible and meaningful education.
