Australian men, and young men, are over-represented in the data on suicide, alcohol and drug related problems, violent crime and injury resulting from dangerous behaviour.
On the other side men and young men, fail to access the existing services. Only 13% of men aged 16-24 with a mental illness access any form of care.
This Summit aims to build a better understanding as to why we continue to see such data and what needs to be done to build more appropriate and effective services for 51% of the population.
