Coles supermarkets has pulled thousands of copies of Harper’s Bazaar Australia magazine featuring a nude Miranda Kerr on the cover because the store’s executives deemed it “inappropriate”.
However, the retail giant has been unable to elaborate on what was the catalyst for the decision to impose the censorship on behalf of its shoppers.

Thank you Coles. Your decision is a move in the right direction. Supermarkets are family service providers. My children – all children – should be spared the nudity. They are already sexualised enough by billboards, music clips, sexual overtones in the most unexpected places…Can we at least allow the supermarket to remain a place where feasting with the eyes is kept to food? Please? For the love of children…?
