Alcohol kills more kids than all illegal drugs combined. Underage drinking and the consequences of juvenile alcohol use are serious issues. In an effort to reduce underage drinking and its negative consequences, The Council on Alcohol and Drugs has launched the www.stopalcoholunder21.org website.

In complete agreement, especially when most 18 year olds in Australia are still on their l or P Plates, despite the zero tolerance young people still take that risk and drink and drive. If drinking is illegal by for those under 21 it would possibly reduce the amount of accidents of accidents involving young/new drivers who have consumed alcohol.
Also at the age of 21 people are considered to be “more responsible” at that stage they are also more aware of their actions and the consequences than that at the age of 18. At the age of 18 when they are still developing themselves for the bigger world and dealing with a completely new life compared to school and home. Many turn to alcohol as a source of comfort not knowing that it is either suppressing other health issues (mental/physical) or with excess consumption it would bring about other issue.
