Really succinct and well argued overview of the topic. As an aspiring pre-doctoral candidate for clinical psychology(hoping 2013 entry) this really motivates me. I love seeing examples of how as psychologists we can get out there and influence people. 🙂

Thank you Andrew – what a great interview. You brought some really helpful ideas here and I especially liked your comments that we dont help kids just by removing the risk factors, but we need to add those protective factors such as even just one family member who loves them, a diversity of friends and a prson outside of the family who is a positive influence on the youngster. Thanks again.
