ConductDisorders.com – a soft place to land for the battle weary parent.

This website was setup as a forum in the mid 1990’s and it has grown since then into a site where parents and carers with children who have challanging behaviour can go and find support, help and resources.

They are a group of parents who raise challenging children. Their kids have many different issues and diagnoses, but they all can be oppositional, defiant and resistant to parenting. They are committed to helping their children grow and flourish.

People who contribute to this website feel that this can be a hard road and they say that the support of other parents who have dealt with similar issues can save your sanity.

Parents often stumble upon these forums while searching the internet for information to help their child.  Faced with the challenges of raising a difficult child they often find themselves feeling helpless, confused, deserted, exhausted, useless and guilty.

The website says “This site offers a place to share experiences with other parents in similar situations: you are not the first parent to face these challenges and you will not be the last.”

The website has several parents support forums which include issues for very young children who are under 5 years old, allergies, autism and how to deal with substance abuse in teenagers.

The website also has the latest reports and research about many issues affecting children’s health and wellbeing, mentally emotionally and physically.

It also has several videos of experts giving advice and discussing issues surrounding challenging behaviour in children and teenagers. This includes anger, drugs, being responsive as a parent and how to stop fighting with your kids.
