Fascinating documentary featuring many incisive ideas and interviews with leading thinkers including Richard Eckersley, who spoke at a number of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Seminars in 2011.

Thanks for this. I frequent a religious forum and I usually stumble across topics that movies like this explore (along with the prevailing philosophies that seem to contribute to this decline). Hopefully I can find a copy of it in my area.
An interesting dimension of this movie is that it is making observations from a sociological perspective and coming to similar conclusions that people with a religious orientation might come to. Thus it provides a secular argument for the importance of ethical behaviour and ideas such as moderation as the foundation of civilised society. A society that loses its balance must find a way to regain that balance or decay…….
Really? Well that makes this more interesting. I’m definitely going to try and get my hands on this. Personally, even I get tired when I notice it’s only the religious folks who see this decline. Supplementing it with backing from the secular perspective is always a relief really. Also, you’re spot on with moderation. I find that even some on the religious side have lost sight of what balance and moderation mean. It would explain the rise of certain extremist ‘counter-cultural’ movements.
