American Apparel has painted itself into a corner in terms of brand image. A cornerstone of its marketing strategy was the voyeuristic, sex-drenched tone employed in many of their photo shoots, but now that appears to be failing as the public perception of the company has moved from edgy to sleazy. Their shoots have received increasing criticism over the fact that the men pictured simply wear their clothing, while the women instead don the exact same pieces in a ridiculously unrealistic and hyper-sexualised manner.

Let children be children.
As well, as a female I am sick of the fashions that are ‘sexy’ and not practical.
I refuse to buy ‘see through’ garments and I notice there are no ‘see through’ garments for men.
Keep up the exposure of this careless industry and make them accountable.
Great work.
